If you are a cycle class attendee, you’re most likely familiar with the term, “it’s your ride.”  For those of you who aren’t familiar with cycle terms, it simply means that you can adjust the tension on your bike to make it as easy or as challenging as you want, you literally make it “your ride.”

The same analogy can be applied to life; although in life the tension on the ride is not manipulated by us - it is usually out of our control.  Even when the tension gets cranked up and it seems like we’re out of control, we still have a choice.  We can choose to quit, we can struggle and complain the entire way, or we can choose to make it a great ride and pass the finish line with flying colors, we always have a choice.
